Belone is a classic fishing vessel that used to be active in shrimp fishing. Between the years 1934 and 1937, the home port was Tjärnö south of Strömstad. From 1970, the ship became a research vessel for the Department of Biological Basic Education at Uppsala University. The ship was then partially rebuilt and classified as a passenger ship and renamed Belone
